What is a good anatomical landmark to find a patent ductus arteriosus?
recurrent laryngeal nerve (off the vagus)
What will you hear with coarctation of the aorta?
usually a systolic murmur in the left infraclavicular area and under the left scapula.
What significantly helped pts with TOF?
PDA
What are “tet” spells?
episodes of bluish pale skin during crying or feeding (associated with TOF). Reversed by squatting due to increased peripheral resistance.
What is a good diagnostic test for TOF and what will you see?
Chest X-ray and will see “boot-shaped” heart.
