Which situation is it appropriate for another physician to discuss a pts info?
Consulting with another physician
An area Of dead myocardial tissue
An infarct
Ability to breathe comfortably in upright position
Orthopnea
Inflammation of sweat gland
Hidradenitis
To find atrial rate
P-P interval.
To find ventricular rate
R-R interval
The 1500 method?
(Best on Fast rhythms)
Can be used for atrial P-P or Ventricular R-R
Count the number of small boxes from beginning of 1st (p) to the end of the second (p) or r-r, then divide by 1500
The sequence method
Remember 300/150/100/75 – used on irregular rhythms!!
Start at R wave and count the # of big boxes from one r wave to the next, whatever ever # in the sequence it ends is the answer
The 6sec method
(Works in any situation, great for irregular rhythms)
Hash marks at the top represent 3sec intervals, 3 hashes is 6 seconds. Count the number of QRS complexes in the 6 sec interval. Multiply by 10 = answer!
Calculate P-R interval?
Count #small boxes from p-q & multiply by 0.04
Count Q-S Interval
Count small boxes from q-s and multiply by 0.04
Order of draw?
You (yellow) Better (blue) Run (red) Real (red/gray:"tiger top") Good (green) Lover ( lavender) Girl (gray)
