Q

What is Fossil Fuels and energy?

A

Burning fossil fuels, such as coal, oil, and natural gas, is the primary source of human-generated greenhouse gas emissions. As of my last knowledge update in September 2021, these emissions accounted for approximately 73% of total global greenhouse gas emissions.

Q

What is a Planes and Air miles?

A

In 2019, the global aviation industry was responsible for approximately 915 million metric tons of CO2 emissions. This accounted for around 2-3% of the world’s total CO2 emissions.

Q

What is a Food production?

A

Globally, livestock (animals) contribute to approximately 14.5% of total human-induced methane emissions. Methane is a potent greenhouse gas, with a much higher global warming potential than carbon dioxide (CO2) over a short time frame.

Q

What is a Deforestation?

A

Forests are one of the largest carbon sinks on Earth. They store an estimated 80% of carbon. A mature tree can absorb and store an average of about 48 pounds (22 kilograms) of CO2 per year.

3 Similarities and 3 Differences Between the United Kingdom and Kuwait

A

The United Kingdom and Kuwait may seem worlds apart, but surprisingly they share some striking similarities. Firstly, both countries have a constitutional monarchy system of government. While Queen Elizabeth II reigns in the UK, Kuwait is ruled by an Emir. Secondly, English is widely spoken in both nations due to their historical ties to the British Empire. This common language fosters easy communication between citizens and foreigners alike. Lastly, expatriate communities thrive in both countries as they attract a significant number of foreign workers seeking job opportunities and better living conditions. Nonetheless, there are also notable differences. The climate sets them apart; while Kuwait experiences scorching desert temperatures, the UK has its mild and often rainy weather. Furthermore, religion plays a significant role in daily life in Kuwait with Islam as the dominant faith compared to the diverse religious landscape of the UK. Finally, economic structures diverge as well as Kuwait heavily relies on oil exports while the UK’s economy is more diversified encompassing sectors such as finance and technology.Casually observing these similarities and differences reveals that no matter how different countries may be geographically or culturally, they can still share surprising connections
