Every 11 years the amount of energy emitted by the sun varies .

They are changes in the earth’s orbit and tilt that alter the amount of energy the earth receives .More energy means higher temperatures.A greater tilt towards the sun means warmer summers and colder winters , a lower tilt has the opposite effect.
What are ocean currents?
Currents transfer warm waters to cooler areas .Changes in current temperatures can impact global temperatures.
What are human causes of climate change ?
land fill ,carbon emissions ,cow methane farming, cars,old fridges, deforestation,burning fossil fuels,forest fires
What is the effect of high winter temps?
Less snow at ski centres leads to less tourism .Less snow causes mountain hares to stand out to predators putting them in danger.
What is the effect of high summer temps?
Save on central heating money and less CO2 emitted.More sunstroke damaging health and disease like malaria.
What is the effect of rising temps?
Crops will have a bigger growing season .Sea temperature rising causes lack of fish as they migrate away to warmer/cooler waters .

Threatens low lying coastal areas with flooding .Coastal flooding may damage seaside homes and businesses causing people to relocate.

Reduced rainfall can cause high levels of drought ,leading to crop failure that has an impact on income for some people and lower food supplies as well as a water shortage.
what is the effect of intense rainfall?
Warmer air can hold more moisture causing more rainfall for the uk . It may bring flash floods that can damage transport and infrastructure.
What are local stratiges for climate change?
reducing car emissions and taking more public transport .Green electricity,recycling to reduce landfill.
What is the paris agreement?
All countries have nationally determined contributions to reduce greenhouse gas emissions keeping global temperatures between 1-5.c these are updated every 5 years to become more strict and reduce emissions even more .
What is the kyoto protocall?
Each country has a limit to their co2 emissions .They can buy carbon credit if emissions are exceeding this is to reduce emissions of industrial countries by 5%of 1990 levels by 2012.
