What is client dignity?
It is the inherent value and worth of an individual, regardless of theri abilities or circumstances.
What does it mean to have responsibility of clients?
RBTs have a responsibility to promote the welfare and the best interests of their clients, while also respecting their autonomy and dignity.
What does it mean to maintain professionalism?
RBTs must behave in a professional and ethical manner at all times, which insludes treating clients with respect and dignity.
What does it mean to maintain confidentiality?
RBTs must protect the confidentiality and privacy of their clients.
How should you maintain relationships as an RBT?
RBTs must establish and maintain respectful and professional relationships with clients
What is the scope of competencies for RBTs?
RBTs must only provide services within their scope of competence and expertise, which ensures that clients receive high-quality and effective services that respect their dignity.
What are the supervision requirements for RBTs?
5%of hours worked in a month must be supervised by a BCBA and the supervision must include 2 face-to-face, real time contacts per month.
What are the four main reasons to seek clinical directions?
- If a client is not making progress with a skill that is being taught and you need more training
- If a new inapprpriate behavior was happening and I needed a behavior support plan (BSP) to address it
- IF a parent was asking you to answer questions that were outside of my scope of duties on the case
- Ifyou observed any type of abuse or neglect
