• procaine penicillin 1.5g IM, statim + amoxicillin/clavulanate 875mg (PO) bd for 5/7

Paeds: 15mg/kg up to 875mg

Question 2

Established Infection/Severe penetrating inj (tendons/joints)

Answer 2

• take swab
• metronidazole 400mg (PO) bd + cefotaxime or ceftriaxone 1g IV daily for 14/7
