Tell me about the company
LASTH Corp it’s a private Software QA Consulting company with about 25 people in the office and 200+ consultants working remotely from US and overseas
Company was found in 1995 in Sunnyvale, CA
Works with big (Wells Fargo, DHL, Oracle) and small companies
Tell me about the application you tested (1)
-I tested a web application that was originally developed in 2015. Mobile version is in development
-It was an E-commerce platform for selling companies organic and ecologically clean products.
-It’s targets for industries of SPA and beauty salons, supplies individual masters.
-Technology Stack is: On the Frontend website is React JS, CSS, HTML5.
On the Backend it is PHP, MySQL database.
It has very little third-party services and software: only Stripe for payments and Disqus messaging system for communication.
-Competing companies: Amazon, MakeUp, Sephora.
-Company has 500+ wholesale customers, includes dozens of businesses and hundreds of individual costumers
-Company is competitive because they occupy a thin niche(area) of organic and ecology clean products for skin and hair removal
Tell me about the application you tested (2)
-Other Project was to test mobile SDK designed for iOS and Android
-It was palm based biometric SaaS solution and its integration to mobile devices.
Purpose is to allowed users make payments, unlock devices, secure online banking, solutions for shared cars access, touchlessly open doors
-Targets on medium and big business, banks, hotels, carsharing companies, chain stores, companies that want to use product to count time and attendance on work
-Application use C++ and MongoDB on cloud server, frontend uses C++ and C#
UI uses cross-platform Xamarin environment, it communicates with server via API
-Competing companies: Amazon, Tencent, Fujitsu(partially, because they need expensive equipment and devices)
-Dozens of companies uses SaaS, and through these companies it has about 300,000 users
-They are one of the first on the market, from year 2015 and not so much competition.
Any challenges that you were facing.
At the beginning of our job the main problems were:
- incompleteness and ambiguous requirements; I ran exploratory and ad hoc testing to figure out main components and features; to understand the work flow. It helped to create detailed functional test cases.
- very narrow timesperiod.
Tell me about yourself?
I have bachelor’s degree in mining engineering.
I’m a former professional basketball player, and on late stages of my career, even during playing career I start to think, what next?
Professional sport is not forever. My brother work in IT for 15 years, and recommend me to look at QA (he knows I have passion to software quality)
I took classes in QA and did a lot of self-study to feel comfortable with my new role.
I’m so much committed to QA profession now that all I want in my work life is to become a senior level QA professional.

What brought you to QA field?
I have always been interested in technology and how it works, and I enjoy finding and solving problems.
My brother work in IT for 15 years, he recommended me that field, during my professional basketball career.
And I started to be very interested in QA it allows me to use my problem-solving skills I understand, THAT’s what I want to do after PRO Sport
