Clause
A group of words having a subject and a verb and used as a part of sentence, or as a sentence

- Not too and very are always adverbs
- Nm adj n
- Prepositions are only found in prepositional phrases
- The subject is never found in a prepositional phrase
- IO must be use with and come before a DO
- Adjective clauses follow the noun or pronoun modified
- Introductory adverb clauses are followed by a comma
Dependent clauses
- Always have subjects
- Always have verbs
- Do not express complete thoughts
- Often begin with key words
- Not every sentence has a dependent clause
