Who is responsible for distributing the bellwork papers?
The first student who enters the classroom.
What is the role of the materials manager?
To put things in the classroom inbox, pick-up supplies, and to keep the working area organized.
What is the role of the secretary?
To place handouts in the “missing work” box for absent students and to take notes during some tasks.
What is the role of the facilitators?
To enforce the 2B4Me rule, to keep team members on task and working quietly, and to act as substitute helpers if the materials manager or secretary are absent.
How will Ms. Lindsay get the attention of the class?
She will turn out the lights and say “hands free, eyes up here”. Students must put down everything that is in their hands and listen to Ms. Lindsay.
How should students line up in the science hallway?
Students should be lined up quietly against the wall and their hands should be kept to themselves.
What should students do if they are finished a task early?
They should read the “Done Early” board and complete the work that is written there.
When are you allowed to enter the science classroom?
When Ms. Lindsay invites the class inside. Ms. Lindsay will wait until the line is quiet and ready to learn before this happens.
What should you do when you enter science class?
You should get out your materials and begin the bellwork immediately.
How do you know what the bellwork is for the class?
The bellwork is always written on the sideboard and if there is a handout that goes with it, the first person who enters the class will bring it to you.
How do you know what your homework is?
Ms. Lindsay will have it written on the sideboard, but it will also be on the weekly schedule.
When can you come see Ms. Lindsay for extra help?
Ms. Lindsay is available at recess (except for on Mondays) and also at after-school help on Sundays, Mondays and Wednesdays.
How should students walk through the science hallway?
Students must be walking (not running!) quietly and they must keep their hands to themselves.
Who is allowed to access the classroom outbox?
Only Ms. Lindsay is allowed to go through this box.
