what is a simple skill + example
difficulty continuum
A
- a skill that is very simple to perform and doenst require any practise
- running
- throwing ball for serve in tennis

A
- complicated skill that requires practise and a large attention span
- reverse layup in basketball
- longball in football

A
- open skills are those that can be effecteed by the environment and usually externally paced skills
- goalkeeper reacting to make a save in football

A
- closed skills are skills that arent effected by the environment and are usually self paced aswell as predictable situations
- gymnast practising a floor routine
- free throw
- penalty kick

what are internally paced skills
A
- Self-paced skills (internal) are controlled by the performer. The performer decides on when to execute the skill
- vault in gymnastics

- controlled by the environment. They include a decision and a reaction. opponent controls the rate of performance

- Gross skills are those that use large
