we have three major factors that determine the class of hydrologic models:
a- Randomness
b-Spatial variation
c- Time variation
a- dterministic (are we getting a constant) or stochastic (are we getting a variable)
b- space independent/lumped ( example howmuch runoff I will get ,I dont care how much comes from rainfall or from from groundwater ) or space correlated/distributed (opposite I care how much comes from each)
c- Time independent / steady flow or time correlated / Unsteady flow (Input is varying and system is not able to deal with this change to give a fixed output.
