to prepare an argument for logical analysis

  • identify the conclusion/premises (indicators);
  • make premises and conclusions explicit;
  • get rid of redundancy;
  • translate rhetoric questions into assertions (declarative sentences);
  • turn irony into affirmation or negation;
  • if you have a complex argument: identify the main conclusion and the relationships between partial and general conclusions.
