A

Types of Tableau Charts to Know and Their Applications

E. Filled Maps
Use Case: Visualizing geographic data (e.g., population density, sales by state).
How to Create:
Drag a geographic field (e.g., State, Country) to the view.
Drag a measure (e.g., Sales) to Color in the Marks card.
Use filters for specific regions.
F. Heat Maps
Use Case: Showing density or intensity with color coding (e.g., sales performance across regions and time).
How to Create:
Drag a categorical field to Rows (e.g., Region).
Drag another categorical field to Columns (e.g., Month).
Drag a measure (e.g., Profit) to Color.
G. Bubble Charts
Use Case: Representing values as circles to compare proportions (e.g., revenue by department).
How to Create:
Similar to a scatter plot, but with size encoding the numerical value.
H. Dual-Axis Charts
Use Case: Comparing two metrics on the same graph (e.g., revenue and profit trends).
How to Create:
Drag two measures to Rows.
Right-click one axis and select “Dual-Axis.”
