Clan lab safety considerations:

- Leave the area immediately, your safety is paramount.
- Never touch, taste or smell any chemicals or equipment.
- Do not re-enter the premises.
- Do not use tools, radios, cellphones, torches or devices that produce sparks or frictions.

- Immediately remove POI from the premises
- Isolate the site and maintain a safety perimeter
- Preserve the crime scene
- Notify the duty inspector, contact clan lab team, and where appropriate contact fire and ambulance services

- Basic health questions such as headaches, breathing difficulties, ect
- Details of other occupants
- Details of other siblings or CYPS at the address
- Sleeping arrangements
- Playing and eating areas
- Name of their doctor
- School/preschool details
- Knowledge of drugs, manufacturing, dealing activities
- Police do not arrange placement for the CYP, OT does

12 things you must do for initial action at clan labs where cyps located

- Removal of CYP from the immediate scene
- Request OT attendance at the scene
- Record mental state of the CYP
- Record physical condition of the CYP
- Assign an Officer to look after and monitor the CYP
- Assessment of the CYP for injury, illness or respiratory distress
- O/C investigation must ensure the Medical staff are notified of the contamination issue prior to admission
- Provide CYP with PPE
- Consideration of swabbing CYP for chemical residues
- Most appropriate decontamination for the CYP
- Photograph CYP at the scene
- Secure clothing worn by the CYP as an exhibit.

A
This rule assumes that if offenders are present and moving inside the Laboratory then the atmosphere will sustain life.
It assumes that the initial entry team (wearing PPE) may safely enter and extract suspects for a period of up to ninety seconds.
