CL Flashcards
If a lens is riding low what will raise the lens up?
Increase diameter
Minus carrier lenticular
Flatten peripheral curve
(If you increase the center thickness it will make it heavier and lower the lens more)
RGP
If lens is too steep (central pooling )
Flatten lens. Add minus. Increase diameter
RGP too flat (dark in center)
Steepen lens. Add minus. Increase diameter
Lens rides low
Increase diameter
Thinner lens (if high Rx use lenticular or minus carrier lens)
Flatten peripheral curve: Increase edge lift so lens can interact with lid and raise up
BC- flatten
Lens rides high
Decrease diameter
Steepen peripheral curve: Decrease peripheral edge lift
Increasing lens diameter will cause lens to fit looser or tighter?
Tighter
