Describe some of the potential clinical features of CKD in children?
A
Anorexia and lethargy
Polydipsia and polyuria
Failure to thrive/grow
Bone deformities
Hypertension
Haematauria
Anaemia
Symptoms usually only occur in stage 4

What is the aim of management in CKD in children?
A
Maintain whatever kidney function remains.
Aim to allow normal growth and development.
Consider Vit D supplementation.
If anaemic treat.
Aim for low salt diet and avoid excess protein..

A
2 years of age
