Ended discrimination in all public places + job discrimination
- Created Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, can levy federal resources in lawsuit
- Department of Education ability to assist
Education Amendments Act of 1972 (amended 1964 Civil Rights Act
TITLE IX
- Schools provude equal educational opportunities to both sexes (could work off numbers/funding instead of necessarily exact same things like two football teams)
Voting Rights Act of 1965
- JUSTICE DEPARTMENT ENFORCE 15TH AMENDMENT
- Banned literacy tests
- Pre-clearance lists, send to attorney general or US district court in DC to change voting laws

AKA fair housing Act
- Housing discrimination
- African Americans dissuaded from “whiter” sections of cities or suburbs, banks and real estate agents and government working together
- Section VIII< discrimination on sale rental financing house on race, religion, national origin, and sex gone
- Expanded to disability or family status
