No appeal can be made to the courts of appeal unless the following has been considered:
- Appeal raises an important point of principle or practice
- There is another compelling reason for the court to hear
Explain what the leap frog is and why it happens
A leap frog is where in a Mulit-Track case you jump from the high court the the supreme court. This happens when a decision of the supreme court will impact the court of appeal. A leap frog will save time.
