Article 2: Effectivity of Laws
After 15 days following publication:

Article 1: Civil Code
This act shall be known as the Civil Code of the Philippines.
Article 3: Ignorance
Ignorance of the law excuses no one from compliance therewith.
Article 4: Retroactivity
Laws shall have no retroactive effect
UNLESS the contrary is provided
Article 5: Mandatory/Prohibitory Laws
Acts against mandatory or prohibitory laws = VOID

Article 7: Repeal/Void Laws
Repealed only by subsequent ones
