Started with a strong central government in Ottawa. Then grew to provinces. Unlike the usa the Provences of Canada have a more increased role in the government

How is autocratic leadership effective/ ineffective
Effective when time is limited and the group lacks skill but is ineffective when developing a sense of team is important

Effective when time is not an issue and the group is motivated, ineffective when members have little knowledge and group is unmotivated
How is laissez faired effectivee/inffective
Effective with high degree of skill, and a sense of team, ineffective when members are less skilled and no sense of team

Provides freedom and rights, works for the people ruled through representitives
WHat is a Authoritarian governemnt
Ruled by a single person with total control.
There are institutions that are not under the government control

Single person with total control, all institutions are controlled
What is dictatorship
Totalitarianism that doesn’t rise to power for good. They seize power to be if it their families

Totalitarianism but wants to spread world wide

What is a majority governemnt
When a government contolrs 170 or more seats which is a majority and every vote th winning party will win

- A proposal 2. First reading 3. Second reading 4. Third reading 5. The senate 6. Royal assent
What does it mean to die on the order paper
When a bill is not passed by thtime of a new session. It can be redone if wanted
Senate vs house of commons
The senate can also propose bills but it is rare. Less people only 105 and they stay until 75 where seats in commons can change every session

But govener general on advice of the prime minister. Usually the prime ministers party but not always

A political platform is the promises although not always fulfilled that the party presents to the people in order to get them to vote for them

The electoral system used in Canada where a majority is not required only most votes in each disticrt wins

That that senate must be in place for a second more thorough thought before becoming a law

What is a summary offence with example
A less serious offence such as dining and dashing
What is an indictable offence
A very serious offence such as murder
What is a hybrid offence
An offence that can go either way depending on the severity of their crime such as assault which can have many different outcomes
