  2. Water vapor rises and evaporates

  4. Wind starts blowing circularly and gains clouds.

  • 50% (mainly in the Lower Ninth Ward)
  • Low Lying City, surrounding bodies of water (the levies), poor natural drainage due to the removal of swamps and it was a poor city so people couldn’t afford to leave).

-Divergent, Convergent and Transform.
-Divergent :New crust generated where plates pull
apart.
Convergent: One plate dives under the other so the
crust is consumed.
Transform: Plates slide horizontally against each other.

- Planes only lasted for 30m (radar saved them tho), houses were also not built to withstand bombing.

-How did New Orleans show courage during Hurricane Katrina?

A

-Lower ninth ward only had 37% of population return, faced racial injustice, 10years and still waited for insurance claims, doctors had no power and had to revert to old medical practises, made a self sacrifice.
