NBT test– if it doesn’t turn blue, it’s chronic granulomatous disease

low in proteins and cells (clear fluid)
exudate
high in cells and protein (pus like)
hemorrhagic infusion? rule out
trauma first. Next look at cancer.
chylous effusion
lymphatic duct leaking (white)
skinny little guy, fevers, losing weight, macrophages in the bone marrow full of stuff
HIV/ AIDS
what neutrophils look like in peripheral blood smear
most common
multinucleated
alpha one goes doen and alpha 2 goes up?
acute phase
after it becomes chronic, the gamma globulins goes up
