Changing Map Orientation

A

1) Start on ‘Map - Navigation Map’ and press the MENU Key and select the ‘Map Settings’ option.
2) Press the ENT Key to display the ‘Map Settings’ Window.
3) Small FMS Knob/select the ‘Map’ Group.
4) Press ENT
5) Press the ENT Key once, to select the ‘Orientation’ Field.
6) Small FMS Knob/select the desired orientation.
7) Press ENT to select the new orientation.
8) Press FMS Knob to return to the base page.

Measure Bearing and Distance Between the Aircraft and a Map Point

A

1) On Map Page press the MENU
2) FMS Knob/Scroll to ‘Measure Bearing/Distance’ Field.
3) Press the ENT Key. A Measure Pointer is displayed on the map at the aircraft’s present
position.
4) Move the Joystick to place the reference pointer at the desired location. The bearing
and distance are displayed at the top of the map. Elevation at the current pointer position is also displayed. (Pressing the ENT Key changes the starting point for measuring.)
5) To exit the Measure Bearing/Distance option, push the Joystick; or select ‘Stop
Measuring’ from the ‘Page Menu’ Window and press the ENT Key.

1) FMS Turn/Go to ‘WPT - Airport Information’ and press the FMS Knob to activate cursor.
2) Enter an identifier, facility name, or location3) Press the ENT.
4) Press the FMS Knob to remove the cursor.

Viewing Information on the Nearest Airport on the MFD

A
  1. Large FMS Knob/Select ‘NRST’ page group.
  2. Small FMS Knob/Select ‘Nearest Airports’ Page
  3. Press the APT Softkey; or press the FMS Knob; or press the MENU Key, highlight
    ‘Select Airport Window’ and press ENT
  4. Turn the FMS Knob to highlight the desired airport. (Pressing the ENT Key also moves
    to the next airport.)
  5. Press the FMS Knob to remove the flashing cursor.

  1. With the ‘NRST - Nearest Airports’ Page displayed,
    1. press the RNWY Softkey; or
    2. press the MENU Key, highlight ‘Select Runway Window’; and press the ENT Key.
  2. Turn the small FMS Knob to select the desired runway.
  3. Press the FMS Knob to remove the flashing cursor.

Option 1:

  1. Large FMS Knob/‘WPT’ Chapter/ ‘VRP Information’ Page.
  2. Press FMS Knob for cursor
  3. Enter the VRP identifier or name.
  4. Press the ENT Key.
  5. Press FMS Knob to remove the flashing cursor.

Option 2:

  1. Large FMS/‘NRST’ Chapter/ ‘VRP’ Page
  2. Press the FMS Knob for Cursor.
  3. Turn the FMS Knob to select an identifier in the ‘Nearest VRP’ Box, and press the ENT
    Key.
  4. Press the FMS Knob to remove the flashing cursor.

Creating a user-defined hold at an active flight plan waypoint:

  1. Press the FPL Key to display the ‘FPL - Active Flight Plan’ Page (MFD) or the ‘Flight Plan’
    Window (PFD).
    2) Press the FMS Knob to activate the cursor
  2. Large FMS Knob to highlight the waypoint for the hold.
  3. Press the MENU Key, highlight ‘Hold At Waypoint’
  4. Press ENT. (The ‘Hold
    at’ Window appears with the ‘Course’ Field highlighted.)
  5. Use the FMS Knobs to edit the course, and press ENT.
  6. Small FMS Knob to select ‘Inbound’ or ‘Outbound’ course direction, and press
    the ENT.
  7. Use the small FMS Knob to select ‘Time’ or ‘Distance’ length mode, and press ENT
  8. Use the FMS Knobs to edit the length, and press ENT.
  9. Use the small FMS Knob to select ‘Right’ or ‘Left’ turn direction,press ENT.
  10. Use the FMS Knobs to edit EFC Time, and press ENT.
  11. Press ENT to Load
