circulatory system Flashcards
what is the order of venous blood
body-svc/ivc-RA-RV-pulmonary artery-lungs
what is the order of red blood
lungs-pulmonary veins-LA-LV-aorta-body
where does the contraction happen?
in the ventricles
what is the systemic flow?
the system that provide the functional blood supply to all body tissue
what is pulmonary flow?
transportation that shunts de-oxygenated blood from the heart to the lungs to be re-saturated with oxygen before being dispersed into the systemic circulation
what is the order of systemic circulation

what is the order of pulmonary circulation
RV-Pulmonary Trunk-Pulmonary Arteries-Lungs-Pulmonary Veins -LA
what does Sinoatrial Node do
- “pacemaker” of the heart
- contracts the right atria
what does the Atrioventricular Node do?
- The AV node conducts the impulse to the rest of the heart: it allows the papillary muscle and the walls of the ventricles.
- it allows to contract the ventricular muscles
Coronary Artery
coronary artery supplies the conducting system
