Heart, blood vessels( Arteries, Capillaries, Veins) Blood.
What are the functions of a circulatory system?
To provide oxygen from the blood to the lungs to the cells and carbon dioxide from the cells to the lungs
What is the heart?
The heart pumps blood throughout the body.
How many chambers are there in the heart?
4
Name the chambers.
Ventricles and atriums.
When was the first heart transplant done?
In South Africa by Chris Barnard in 1967
Blood plasma
Carries dissolved Nutrients, waste, and gases
White blood cells
Fights microorganisms by engulfing them or making antibodies.
Platelets
Helps blood clot so it can heal.
Red blood cells
Carries oxygen and Carbon dioxide around the body
High blood pressure
Hypertension
Results when a heart does not have enough oxygen?
Heart attack
Loss of speech or memory loss?
Stroke
