Define the Radian
A
A radian is the angle subtended at the centre of the circle with an arc equal to the radius of the circle.

Why one complete revolution is equivalent to an angular displacement of 2π?

Arc = rθ and for one rev arc = 2πr so θ = 2π r/r so θ = 2π

Why does a spring extend when attached to a sphere and the sphere is moving in a circle?
A
-horizontal force on sphere causes centripetal acceleration
-rhorizontal and vertical components (of force) (now) combine to give greater tension (in spring)
- greater tension in spring so greater extension of spring
