What does an ammeter measure?
Current in Amps (A)
What does a voltmeter measure?
Current in volts.
Does the current stay the same in a series circuit?
Yes
Does the current stay the same in a parallel circuit?
No it splits.
What is the symbol for a bulb?
A circle with a cross in it.
What is the symbol for a cell?
Two lines next to each other with a small gap between one longer than the other.
What is the symbol for a battery?
Two lines next to each other with a small gap between one longer than the other. Twice.
What is the symbol for an a-meter?
A circle with an A in it.
What is the symbol for an voltmeter?
A circle with a V in it.
What is the symbol for a resister?
A rectangle with wires either side.
What is the symbol for a variable resister?
A rectangle with an arrow pointing upwards in it.
What is the symbol for a buzzer?
Two wires pointing up with a semicircle on top.
What is the symbol for a motor?
A circle with an M in it.
What is the symbol for a wire?
A STRAIGHT line.
