Summarise cnidarians
They are very diverse that can be sessile sedentary and pelagic as there are found in both benthic and pelagic environments. They occur at all depths. They are radially symmetrical. They have a gastrovascualr cavity where they digest. They have cnidocytes that contain stinging nematocysts. Mostly carnivores. Can do both sexual and asexual reproduction
What is the body structure of Cnidaria
They’re diploblastic (they body is derived from two embryonic cells
They have a medusa form and polyp form
They have true tissues
They have mucous glands and a nerve net
Nematocysts and cnidocytes unlike to Cnidaria
How do Cnidarians feed
Mostly carnivores stinking prey with nematocysts
How do cnidarians reproduce
Medusa stage does the sexual reproduction
Polyp stage does asexual reproduction

Symbiotic with zooxanthellae
Symbiotic with fish and crustaceans, protection for nutrients through waste
