A

Over-representation in the media or street crime and of BIPOC crime
- Hyper-sensationalistic (obsessing over stories with superficial interest/ making a bigger deal out of it than it is)

- Poses criminals as unlike us “freaks/aliens”
- Crime uprising during George Floyd but the representation was already skewed before that. Before the pandemic newspapers starts showing more crime causing more fear
