What is the definition of the Church?
All those who have accepted and confessed The Lord Jesus as their personal Lord and Savior. (Romans 10:8-10,13) The Church consists of a universal body, a priesthood of believers
Church Membership?
The Early Church was made up of different groups of people: Hebrews, Grecians, Jews (Hellenists) and Proselytes
What three periods can the early Church be broken down into?
- The Ancient Church (30-600)
- The Medieval Church (600-1550)
- The Modern Church Period (1550-present)
How many periods can the Ancient Church be broken down into?
Two Infant and Adolescent.
What is a period?
Describes Time. A period during which a cycle or series of events move toward a conclusion.
What is Church History?
It is the interpreted record of the origin, progress, and impact of Christianity on human society, based on organized data gathered by scientific methods from archaeological documentary, or living sources; it is the interpreted organized story of the redemption of man on earth
What is an era?
A duration of time marked by a new or distinct order of things. Each period of Church history has two descriptive eras.

This Emperor raised the second persecution against Christians.
He commanded all the lineage of David be put to death.

What Emperor did not seek out Christians, but Christianity was outlawed? Set policy against Christians. (So underground Church; Trajan had a problem with secret societies) outlawed and Secret societies only on tesgt.
