Who were the leaders of the Early Church?
Peter and Paul. Before Paul was converted he was Saul of Tarsus, who was a persecutor of the Church, and part of the crowd that stoned Stephen to death.
Peter led the Jews, Paul led the gentiles. These two groups did not used to mingle, so they needed the two leaders to unite them.
What event is known as the beginning of the Church?

How was Christianity spread in the early Church?
After the Pentecost, the new group of believers went back to their homes and spread the word of God. Additionally, Roman soldiers still chased after these believers, so the believers continued to run to different cities, thus spreading the word of God.
