- 1st: 325 AD, Nicaea. Nicene Creed was written here, described jesus was consubstantial/homoousios with the father (they are both God but in different forms)
- Arius said jesus was not god but similiar to him (homoiousios)
- 2nd: 381 AD, Constantinople, Holy Spirit is also God
- 3rd: 451 AD, Chalcedon, Jesus is fully God and fully Human
