used to separate mixtures of soluble substances. These are often coloured substances such as food colourings, inks, dyes or plant pigments.

A
Distillation is heating a mixture of liquids to create vapor, which rises and is separated from the liquid. The vapor is then cooled and condensed, creating a separate liquid.
