Describe the stage of being young
It is an original and stimulating stage of life.
Describe the youth of Jesus.
It was precious preparation for his work of redemption, a time of growth and preparation and training. He spent those years in ordinary living.
How did Jesus grow as a young person?
Grew in relationship with the Father and grew in relationship with other people
For the Church, what does being young mean?
It is a state of mind, not just a period of time.
What does “youth being a state of mind” imply for the Church?
She can constantly renew herself. She must always be attentive to the signs of the times.
The Church being a museum. Elaborate and explain the proper attitude.
It means having no humility and a Church that no longer listens. It is always on the defensive. She ask no questions. Being a musuem means STAGNATION
It is a challenge to for CONSTANT GROWTH of her grasp of that inexhaustible treasure.

Her “Yes” stems from her being committed, being ready to take risks, full of energy, strength and having the light of hope.

There are many ways of being young. How so?
Diversity of ethnicities.
Different histories and cultures.
Experiences of young people, mindful of the fact that “youth” does not exist but only young people.
Victims of crises: war, violence, rape, etc.
Victimes of ideologies: ideological colonization, throwaway culture
Victims of discrimination
Family problems: mutual estrangement, generationala conflict.
How do we respond to the difficult situations of the youth today?
Weep, so that we can be more of a mother. It is an expression of mercy and compassion. It must not be some self-centered whining. We must anesthetize it with other messages and distractions. The gift of tears is a GRACE from God.
