CHRISTOLOGY Flashcards
The person of Christ
He is very God of very God
At His incarnation he was also fully man
Gnosticism
He is one in substance(nature) with the Father(Spirit), but distinct in person
- Substance refers to reality over material possessions
- God the FATHER did not die on the cross, God the SON did.
As God, he shares all the divine attributes
- He is with us always
- Same yesterday today and forever
Executively Cooperative Subordination
Jesus puts himself underneath God
Humanity vs. Utter moral perfection
Utter humanity at the incarnation is at once understood with His utter moral perfection or sinlessness.
CHRISTOLOGY
1) Jesus if very God of very God
2) At His incarnation he was also fully man
3) substance same as Father, but also the Son of man (Trinity)
4) Divine Attributes (Contra-arianism, modelism)
