ironic because he shows sypmathy for ignorance and want who arent people but creatures that represent poor. his sympathy is extending to all poor ppl not just one that he know personally

‘certain wharehouse’ implies that scrooge are in a location of similar building/plenty of wharehouses. spirit has been able to take scrooge to the wharehouse which means most to him (fezzywig). by being able to take scrooge to such an important place in his past that he doesnt even recall it shows the spirit knows more than scrooge implies that the spirit is omniscient ,emphasises power of the spirits over human
