oysters contain a pearl inside which could suggest that there might be good buried deep inside of scrooge it also links the idea that scrooge had a hard exterior but a soft interior dickens had done this to show that there is good within eveyone and we must all strive to be the best version of ourselves

the noun feather associates with bird, birds can fly this creates a feeling of freedom and emphasis the positive spirit scrooge is now feeling

he has broken out of his locked up and excluded from society behaviour dickens’s has done this to show that everyone has the ability to change-even the vilest of individuals this inspires the reader that they too have the ability to change
