What is Worship?
It is the way Christians show their devotion, love, and respect for God.
Forms of Worship:
-Liturgical worship
-Non-liturgical worship
-Informal/Charismatic worship
-Private worship
Liturgical worship
A type of worship that follows set pattern of prayers and readings.
Has been around for a long time so people have faith in it.
Viewed as ‘old fashioned’
Non-Liturgical worship
More informal, it has less structures and set things.
Informal worship
Focuses on the adoration of God, free flowing services, modern style.
Very heartfelt and personal.
Moves away from tradition
Private worship
Can be done anywhere and mostly done alone.
Includes meditation and study of the bible.
Its a good way of expressing their feelings.
What does this quote show “When two or three come together in my name I am there with them” ?
Shows that God is present with them when Christians worship or pray together.
This promotes types of worship that bring Christians together other than private worship.
What is prayer?
It is how Christians communicate with God.
What are the 5 basics forms of prayer?
ACTS:
-Adoration

-Thanksgiving
-Supplication
What is evidence for prayer?
‘The Lord’s Prayer’
What is a sacrament?
A religious act or ceremony.
What is Baptism?
It is a sacrament.
A ritual through which people become members of the church.
Why is water used in baptism?
It symbolises the washing away of the original sin.

What is the Eucharist/Holy Communion?
It is a sacrament that commemorates Jesus’ last supper.
Not all Christians celebrate it.
