What did the Great Schism do?
The Great Schism in 1054 brought about a split between the Catholic church and the Orthodox church.

Catholics believe that the Pope is the successor of St Peter, the first Bishop of Rome.
Where do Catholics believe the holy spirit came from?
Roman Catholics believe that the holy spirti came from the Father and the son as stated in the niscine creed. The Orthodox Church believed that the hoky spirit qnd the Son came from the Father. This was the main feason for the Great Schism.

Because he didn’t want the priest to die and he wanted to sacrifice himself.
