It is the idea that the Bible is man-made for the purpose of controlling women.

The idea is that if a men tells a woman to submit in a certain gender role, that’s not persuasive.

But if that man tells the creator of the universe that he wants her to, that is persuasive.

What would reformist feminist theologians point at?

Answer 2

They would regard the patriarchy in the Bible. The Bible gives men what is in their view a superior position on women. God did not make man, men made God.
