God as the father?

- created earth and sustains them

God as the son?
- believe jesus is the incarnation of god in human form
- seen as both divine and human
- a model for Christian behaviour
God as the holy spirit?
- the presence of god in the world
- immanent yet personal part of god
- guidance to catholics spiritually

Where is God as Holy Spirit found?
Through creating the world
Where is son of God found?
In the gospel of John when he uses the phrase ‘the word’ it is referring to Jesus later as he says “the word became flesh and his dwelling among us”
Through this, John makes it clear that Jesus was vital for creation
How do Christians interpret the creation story?
Some literally they are known as creationists
Other Christians are more liberal, they view Genesis as more parable or a symbolic description, they knowledge God as creator but are open to other theories such as the Big Bang and evolution
How is God eternal?
He made time, and was present before it
How is God omnipotent?
He created the universe through words
How is God benevolent?
He brought humankind to life and gave them the world
What was the incarnation?
The act by which God became human being through Jesus Christ
What does Messiah mean?
The anointed or chosen one
