What does omniscient mean
All-knowing
What does immanent mean
Present with people
what does transcendent mean
Exists outside of space and time
What is the holy trinity
Jesus (son)
The spirit
God (father)
What puts the monotheism of Christianity in danger and why
The holy trinity because it says they’re all equal therefore they’re saying they’re all divine
What was Gods role in genesis
He was the creator (his final creation was humans)
What was the role of the spirit in genesis
He was preparing to bring life into this world
The role of “word” in creation (john 1)
The word becomes flesh when he is incarnated as Jesus
What do Christians believe about the original sin
That we lost our immortality and we’ll all die one day with suffering and death
What is moral evil
The sinful nature of humans so war famine and disease all come from evil
What is natural evil
This is earthquakes and tidal waves it doesn’t explain why innocent people suffer
Why did Jesus show and what was his purpose
To mend the relationship between man and God by taking the punishment he was allowed to come back from the dead because he was God and human
What does Gods incarnation into Jesus mean
That he is not affected by the original sin which all human beings are born with, his mean purpose was to die to repair the relationship

- suffered the full pain of human death
- was a sacrifice to God that took the punishment of human sin
What do Christians believe about resurrection
- resurrected after 3 days, shows his power over death
- Shows that He is God
- Christians believe that that they too will be raised to life after death to share eternity in heaven with Jesus
What do Christians believe about ascension
- Some Christians believe that is was Jesus literally returning back to heaven
- others believe it represents his success of good over evil
Concept of salvation (the law)
That Jesus’ sacrifice allowed humans to be forgiven even if they were imperfect
Concept of salvation (Grace)
They were no longer saved by their actions but by the grace of GOd

They believe the salvation that God offers is actually him offering to pay their debt of sin

They believe in order to be saved they need to say sorry to God for their sins and ask for forgiveness

Jesus’s sacrifice allows eternal life in heaven
