- They will lead a good life in order to gain a good afterlife after they have been resurrected.

- Allows them to understand that God wants to have a positive relationship with them as He sent his Son to restore the relationship.
- Allows Christians to understand that God knows what they are going through when they are suffering just as Jesus did in his life.
