Sacraments
Christian rituals that reflect and invisible blessing from God. For example, the Eucharist
Omnipotent
All-powerful. One of God’s qualities
Omnibenevolent
All-loving. One of God’s qualities.
Omniscient
All-knowing. One of God’s qualities
The Trinity
The three persons of God; the father, the son and the Holy Spirit
Just
God is believed to be Just, rewarding the good and punishing the bad.
The problem of Evil
If god is omnibenevolent, omniscient and omnipotent, then why does evil and suffering exist?
The six days of creation

Atonement

Being saved from sin and death, and entering heaven
Purgatory
A state of temporary purification in the afterlife

A source of Law for Christians.
It contains the rules they live by, e.g. do not kill.
Evangelical views on the Bible
It is the “word of God”.
Liberal view on the bible
Some Biblical stories are metaphorical, not literally true.
Eschatology
Christian teachings on the “last things” : death, judgement, heaven and hell.
