sin- any thought or action that separates humans from God.
orignal sin- adam and eve brought sin into the world and all future humans inherited this sin
what is salvation and grace
salvation is saving soul from sin, made possible because of Jesus
grace is God’s love which humans do not have to earn
what is salvation through good works
what is salvation through grace
- can be achieved by doing good and following God’s laws “faith… without action is dead”
- salvation is given by God to show his love, does not have to be earnt “ for it is by grace you have been saved”
what did Jesus’ crucifixion show to Christians
2 reasons which are both very long

- altho jesus was fully god he was also fully human meaning he had the ability to feel pain.- meaning that christians believe god understands that suffering is apart of life since jesus suffered.
- jesus’ death/ crucifixion on the cross washes away all of peoples/humans previous sins. Therefore this act brought humans and God closer together which is exactly what Christians want.— atonement
what do sheep and goats represent
Sheeps are seen as good and go to heaven with god.
Goats are seen as evil and go to hell without god.
what is purgatory and what denomination beleives in it
purgatory is the immediate state, where the soul is cleansed, meaning that even if you had sinned you will still go to purgatory and through salvation you can then go to heaven –it is a catholic belief
