Baptism is a sacrament that Jesus did and that a christian has to do to be able to be welcomed in the family of god.
When Jesus was baptised by John the baptist a voice came from a dove above, The holy ghost, - ‘This is my beloved Son; with whom I am well pleased.’ (Matthew 3:17)
A believers baptisms is not as strong as an infants baptism. FOR and AGAINST.
For - Some Churches believe that you cannot become a believer until you are old enough to accept Christianity. This is because you should have faith in an religion
to be able to accept the religion.
Against - Other Christians believe that being brought up in a Christian family allows them to be nurtured around Christianity therefore they will accept the faith more easily.
