Guys, breaking the 4th wall here, but basically, this is an open Bible question so just tell me which 2 chapters in the Bible tell you about John the Baptists birth and death, you’re going to have to go there to answer questions on it
Found in Luke 1 and Mark 6
How did Jesus’ birth signal a welcome to all people?
There was rich and poor (Wisemen and Shepard), strong and weak (King Herod and Mary/Joseph), men and women (Mary, Anna, Elizabeth and Joseph, Simeon, Shepherds), racial differences (Wisemen from the East, Simeon said that Jesus was for the Jews and Gentiles), *and old and young (Simeon and Anna were very old, Mary and Joseph were very young), all involved in Jesus’ birth!
Why couldn’t Jesus be born naturally, why to a virgin?
Because Jesus is God, perfect in every way, while mankind is sinful in every way. If He was born naturally, He would be born into sin, like every other human being. However, He still had to be a human to die on our behalf. He needed to be perfect (sinless), but also a human. So He was born, as a human, through supernatural means. He is now fully human, and fully God!
What is baptism?
A declaration and a demonstration
How is baptism a declaration?
You are declaring to the world your a Christian now. You are now gonna follow Jesus and His Word and do what the Bible says. You life now belongs to Him. You’re going to deny yourself, pick up your cross, and follow Him. You are now not your own.
How is baptism a Demonstration?
It is a demonstration/picture of 2 things:
1. The old “me” is dead and buried (put in the water) - and a new “me” is born (brought up out of the water).
2. Jesus dying (put in the water), but he came back to life (brought up), and one day I will die too, but I will be resurrected, just like Jesus was to be with Him in Heaven for eternity
In what 2 ways did Jesus, even though He is God, show obedience to God the Father?
He showed obedience to God the Father by:
1. Being in the temple, talking to people, and teaching and showing them what the Bible means
2. Being baptized which God commands all people to do once they decide to follow Him
Why did Jesus show obedience to God, even though He is God? He doesn’t have to follow the rules, He makes the rules!
Jesus showed obedience to give us an example to follow. He is showing us how we, today, need to obey God. If Jesus was obedient, we should be too.

- Throw yourself from the highest point of the temple

How does Jesus respond to each of Satan’s temptations?
With a verse from the Old Testament
What 3 things can we learn from the story of Jesus being tempted by Satan?
- When we go through temptations, we can ask Jesus to help us overcome them, because He knows what we are going through
- The words of the Bible are powerful and Satan can’t stand up to them
- Whenever we are tempted, there is never an excuse to give in. We always have the choice to do what is right!
