What is the difference between moral evil and natural evil?
moral evil is caused by humans e.g. murder, dishonesty, war whereas natural evil is out of human control e.g. earthquakes, tsunamis, drought
What is original sin?
The belief that we are all born with sin due to Adam and Eve succumbing to temptation in the garden of Eden

What is the story of Job?
Job was a good man but Satan suggested that Job was only obedient because he was blessed. God then made Job suffer to test his faith, taking away his property, cattle and family. Job continued to worship God until he was made to suffer more, making him question God. He accepted his suffering and he was rewarded eventually

What is the story of Adam and Eve?
Adam was created in God’s image and Eve from one of Adam’s ribs. They were blessed with free will and only had one rule: not to eat the fruit from the forbidden tree. A snake ( the devil in disguise) tempted Eve to eat the apple and they were banished from the garden of Eden, cursed with shame, pain in childbirth and original sin was created.

The Roman punishment of being nailed to a cross- Jesus was crucified after being accused of blasphemy

Making amends for a wrong- Jesus’ death on the cross was an act of atonement that healed the rift between humans and God
What is salvation?
Deliverance from sin- God gave his only son to ensure that all humans could be saved
What is resurrection?
When Jesus rose from the dead after crucifixion

Jesus rising to heaven to join God after appearing to his disciples

What is the parable of the sheep and the goat?
Jesus is the shepherd, his followers are sheep and allow him to guide them whereas nonbelievers are goats. It teaches that people should do good deeds for one another because it is like doing good deeds for Jesus
What is the parable of Lazarus and the rich man?
the rich man ended up in hell whereas Lazarus went to heaven. He asks for relief from the fires of hell then asks to warn his family on earth. God says no because the prophets are already on earth. Teaches to do good out of faith in God and kindness not fear of consequences.
What is heaven, hell and purgatory?
Heaven is a reward for actions and beliefs in life, God and the angles live there. Hell is a punishment where people burn and are spiritually tormented. Satan lives there. Purgatory is a Catholic belief and is a place of purification before entering heaven.
