What does Daniel 7 reveal will happen at the end of the world + quote?
God will eventually defeat evil + restore peace, justice + prosperity to the world - ‘People will see the son of man coming in the clouds of heaven…His dominion is everlasting’
How can the four beasts be described?
one like a lion, one like a bear, one like a leopard and one horned beast
What happens to the beasts?
3 of the beasts were ‘stripped of their authority’, however the horned beast was ‘slain and its body destroyed and thrown into the blazing fire.’
How are Daniel’s visions and dreams interpreted?
Interpreted as revealing that God will eventually overcome evil, which will come in the form of 10 kings (represented by the 10 horns of the horned beast) who will oppress those who are faithful - ‘the holy people will be delivered into his hands for a time…’ ‘But…his power will be taken away and completely destroyed forever.’ - could be interpreted as being Antiochus, a king who was oppressing Jews at the time that Daniel 7 was written
What will happen when evil has been defeated (quote)?
‘The sovereignty…of all the kingdoms under heaven will be handed over to the people of the Most High. His kingdom will be…everlasting…and all rulers will worship and obey him.’
