What are gospels?
The books of the New Testament.
Who were the authors of they gospels?
Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John.
What is a disciple, and how many did Jesus have?
Followers of Jesus, and he had 12.
What was the Jesus movement?
Those who believed that Jesus was the Messiah.
What were Jesus’s miracles?
Walking on water, healing the ill, raising the dead, and feeding 5,000 people with an inconceivably small amount of food. Pretty cool dude.
What was the importance of the Sermon on the Mount?
Jesus taught people the Lord’s Prayer.
What does Easter symbolize?
The resurrection of Jesus.
What does Holy Thursday represent?
The Last Supper.
What does Good Friday represent?
The death of Jesus. Strange that the adjective “good” is used. Makes ya think.
What was the holiday during which the Last Supper took place?
Passover.
Explain Jesus’ betrayal.
Judas, a disciple, gives Jesus’ name to the authorities. Jesus is thrown in prison, and executed. However, Jesus is believed to have known of his death prior to its occurrence.
What is transubstantiation?
The belief that upon the blessing of the bread by the priest, it becomes his flesh again.
